Georgia Income Tax Check-Off Awareness Campaign

You Can Help Children and the Elderly Through Your State Income Taxes

02/16/2005 --

Check-off for the Georgia Fund for Children and Elderly is an opportunity to contribute to your local community by checking the appropriate box on the State of Georgia Income Tax Form.  The fund divides the money into programs for special needs children and the elderly.

The fund distributes proceeds statewide.  Collections go to local Area Agencies on Aging, which provide home delivered meals and transportation to the elderly and, through grants, to public or non-profit agencies serving children with special health, educational, and emotional needs.

You can give to the fund by checking off line 28 on the Georgia Income Tax Form 500, or checking off line 11 on the Georgia Income Tax Form 500ez, or you can add dollars to your tax payment and indicate that you are contributing to the fund.

The Southern Crescent Area Agency on Aging (SCAAA) urges you to contribute to the Georgia Income Tax Check-Off Fund.  All contributions received by SCAAA will be utilized to provide additional home delivered meals to the elderly.  Tax-deductible contributions can also be made directly to SCAAA so please call today for details.  706-407-0024 or 678-552-2848 or 1-866-854-5652.
