Abuse Prevention Southeast Regional Conference |
Mark your calendars for April 9th and 10th for the
Southeastern Regional Conference on Elder Abuse to be held at Valdosta
State University. Take
a look at the initial flyer. This will be a 1 1/2 day
conference - brief overview:
Day 1: Dan Sheridan : wound
identification and documentation.
Day 2: Kim Grier : How to
interview/interact with someone with dementia. Cecil
Hutchins : What to do and not do at a crime scene and when a
victim presents to the ER (for non-law enforcement)
Meg Heap : Prosecuting elder abuse cases.
VSU will be providing Continuing Nursing Education
credits as well as POST credit for law enforcement. Continuing
Legal Education will be provided through PAC.

CARE-NET Support Group Meetings

 | The Southern Crescent CARE-NET Support Group is open
to all caregivers. Meetings are located at Bellevue Senior
Center located at 1050 West Bankhead Highway, Villa Rica,
Georgia. This support group meets the first Monday of every
