The
Southern Crescent Area Agency on Aging provides home delivered
meals to eligible older adults or other eligible
participants at the client’s place of residence. Each meal
which complies with Dietary Guidelines for Americans and
provides at least 33.3 %
of the RDA for each meal.
Frozen
meals are available for weekends and holidays and shelf stable
meals are provided annually prior to the winter weather season
to insure each home bound client will have a meal in the event
of inclimate weather or other emergency situations when the
regular meal cannot be delivered.

The
Southern Crescent Area Agency on Aging coordinates meal provision
through senior centers, churches and many other local
organizations however, there remains remote pockets in the region
that currently do not have delivery programs. Call the

The
Home Delivered Meal program is in need of volunteers to assist
